Junior Entrepreneur Project in 6th Class
6th Class participated in the Junior Entrepreneur Project (JEP) this year. As part of JEP, the class were split into five groups and had to decide on an idea between the group to be put forward to the "Dragons". The winning idea selected by the Dragons was "Mysterious Books".
As part of this project, books were donated to the school. 6th Class then sorted these books into age and genre categories, before wrapping them and labeling them, ready to be sold. On the 17th of April, 6th Class had their showcase day, where they sold the books. The only information that the buyers had was the age and genre of the book, they did not know what they were buying!
In total, over 1,300 books were donated to the school and on the day, 6th Class raised €1,010!
6th Class would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated books to the school and then for supporting them on the showcase day. 6th Class have donated part of the money to the Creevy Activity Hub, and the rest will be going towards their school tour to Dublin and some end of the year activities.
Well done to 6th Class and a huge thank you to all the staff and families for their excellent support throughout this exciting project.
