The Creevy NS Parents' Association organised a very successful Summer Fete for the second year running. There was a great turn out on the day and the weather held off long enough to enjoy wonderful activities outside as well as the beautiful arts and crafts and cakes and bakes inside.
Thank you to the many parents, pupils, past pupils and volunteers who managed the different stations. The community enjoyed all the variety on offer from the book sale, to face painting, to novelty games. Hang tough, the novelty races and sponge the teacher were big favourites with the attendees on the day.
Thank you to all the sponsors of prizes and congratulations to the lucky winners on the day. The school and parents' association gratefully acknowledge very generous donations from Malachy and Sinead Daly (MED Ltd) and MCM Spirits, as well as the wonderful raffle prizes from Dicey Reillys, Raymond Patterson Electrical, Novel Idea and McCoskers Centra.
Thank you to all the Creevy families for returning draw cards and supporting our fundraising day. There was €7406 raised and this money has been lodged in the Parent Association Bank Account. In the new term we will present the funds raised to Creevy Activity Hub CLG, the committee planning the development of recreational facilities at the rear of the school for school and community use.
